2 Tournaments this week in the Scottish Open and the Isco Championship, one is a premium event stacked full of the world's best players, the other is the Isco!

Onto Renaissance club first and the 2025 Scottish Open. At 7282 Yards it's a par 70 that is about accuracy and weather. With the wind being quite calm, and most of the fescue being burnt to a crisp, it should be a low week in North Berwick. It was a quick week in terms of reducing a shortlist, as I only had 7 players on it and the final 3 came pretty easily, thanks to those mask wearing odds compilers.

Last season at 50/1 BOB MCINTYRE sunk a 20 footer to fill our coffers and despite this and a narrow 2nd place to Mcilroy in 2023, he is inexplicably 33/1 here! It's a gigantic price, he's a big time player, his putter is getting warmer and he is just stand out this week and for me should be 2nd favourite. Paddy Power are best priced across the board, and 6 places on offer we go 5pts e/w, I should go bigger but we don't need to get greedy, get on quick he'll go off about 22s.

I've already taken a price for RYAN FOX for the Open at Portrush (80/1), and he is a selection this week and a very easy one! A 2 time winner on tour this season, the stocky New Zealander is a brilliant Links player and he will contend in both weeks. At 60/1 his value is obvious, 6 places with PP again, we go 3pts e/w on a guy who has made all 3 cuts at this course and was in with a real chance in 2023 eventually finishing 12th.

Last up I've taken my bat and ball home. Manassero was 225/1 Monday morning, yet within 5 hours he had been chopped into 175s and lower. I refuse to let the bookies get one over on me, so I'm cutting my nose off to spite my face and instead taking a better price and 4 extra places on PADRAIG HARRINGTON. He's won 2 Opens, he won the Senior US open 2 weeks ago and he just knows how to play Links golf brilliantly. It's not over long, his approach play and putting was super sharp last time out and at 200/1 with Ladbrokes 10 places he is a very exciting e/w proposition and 1pt e/w, especially in firm fiery conditions.

If the Scottish is the Rolls Royce non major, then the Isco is the Dacia Sandero. A shocking course, shocking field and C grade event beckons, but where there is value there is interest so do not despair. 2 selections here and 2 players I fancy highly for placing at this event. CARSON YOUNG narrowly missed out on selection last week and I was very sick I bombed him out for Olesen. He's finished 10th and 12th in his 2 second grade events this year at Myrtle Beach and Puerto Rico, and this short course that reduces into a putting contest will see him to great effect. He's one of the strongest putters in the field, he drives the ball well and at 50/1 he's excellent value. 6 places with Paddy Power we are 3pts e/w on him.

Last up this week, I'm a man of my word, but not when it comes to Cam Young and TAYLOR MONTGOMERY. I know I said I wouldn't back him where there is water, but he is huge value here, in a piss poor field, if he can keep his rock out the drink he could putt the lights out of this field. He's a whopping 90/1 with Paddy Power 6 places and this represents exciting value and we are 2pts e/w.

Last week slightly caught me out for time, and even though we didn't get place money out of Denny, I was gutted the late publishing gave up a lot of value. So I'm getting this short version in here so followers can get best value early. Don't delay, these prices go fast, get on today if you can and let's get some more money in the coffers.

Have a great week. TEWT
