OO AAAARGH it's the Farmers

So having been struck down with the sweats and pains of Covid this week it's a short piece from me.

Last week Taylor Montgomery was very unlucky, bang in contention he hit the pin on 14 and rather than the ball going in, it went down the flag onto the cup side and 20 feet away, then on 16 he hit an upslope, when it looked like his approach to the par 5 was going to run up to 20feet as an Eagle putt. Yes he shanked it into the drink on 17 but on another day with the smallest bit of luck he would have been 2 clear on that tee hitting a very different shot.

So this week at Torrey Pines we have a stellar field headed by the in form and mercurial John Rahm. Rambo seemed to keep his temperament in check last Sunday when putts didn't fall and if he keeps his head like this moving forward then look out world. At 7/2 and 4/1 in places this week it isn't the job of an each way blogger to put up shorties, but he really does look a good thing.
